Earlier this year, in June, I was privileged enough to travel with the Australian Burlesque Festival as a headliner performer all around the country. Starting in Melbourne, I flew to Tasmania, to Brisbane, back to Melbourne, to Canberra, then Sydney, in the space of a week and a half. Though exhausting, it was an immense period of transition and transformation for me. I was happiest living out of a suitcase and thankful for the clarity being on the move brought me.

I took my camera where I could, and these are the results. I look back on each moment with fondness and a great deal of thankfulness for the people that surrounded me. Here are 23 reasons why I love being a performer on the road…
